JORDAN 5 HISTORY
The Jordan 5 Retro is one of the most popular Air Jordan models. And dare I say, it is one that a lot of us love. With tons of color ways retroed time and time again, they somehow stand the test of time, like most retro Air Jordan sneakers. The introduction of the Jordan 5 came in 1990. Of course made famous and worn by Michael Jordan. The sneaker, like all Air Jordan’s, was originally a basketball shoe. And can still be worn as such. Nowadays, most of us tend to wear these sneakers in street fashion.
ATHLEISURE STYLING
When I was younger, I always assumed that the only way to wear/style any pair of Air Jordan sneakers, was with a pair of jeans. Everything was always jeans! Of course Jordans have become a staple in street style, but I've also learned a number of things over the years. 1) Jeans aren't everything and 2) Don't be afraid to try different things. These days, it isn't uncommon to find a street sneaker worn in many other ways. But for some reason, athleisure styling is not as common.
What is athleisure exactly? Athleisure is clothing that is designed for workouts and other athletic activities. Usually with athleisure clothing, it is known to be worn with an athletic running sneaker. Who's to say that we cant go against what everyone usually does and be different. Now, we're not going to stray too far off the spectrum by wearing a pair of construction boots or anything like that. However, a mid-cut, "bulky" basketball sneaker should do just fine!
